Hitting & Defense Clinic at The Yard

Come join us at The Yard for a special Hitting & Defense Clinic with professional baseball player Scott Seeker and former Division I college baseball coach James Sheltrown.

We’ll also be celebrating Scott as he prepares to begin his professional baseball season, as he heads out at the end of the month. We’re grateful to have his talent, knowledge, outstanding attitude, and energy around the facility for another couple of weeks!

This clinic is a great opportunity for young athletes to grow their game while having fun.

What We’ll Work On

⚾ Defense & Footwork

• Training in the turf arena

• Proper footwork and glove work

• Handling different styles of ground balls

• Learning how to throw with accuracy and hit your target on command

⚾ Hitting Development

• Moving into the batting cages to work on swing mechanics

• Learning how to stay on time consistently at the plate

• Drills used to develop advanced hitters and create hard contact

⚾ Competition & Fun

• Finish the clinic with HitTrax competitions and games

What to Expect

• 2 hours of drills and techniques used at the highest levels of the game

• Safe and positive learning environment

• Drills scaled by age group so every athlete can learn, grow, and be challenged
